This page sums up who we are, how we're paid and what to do if something goes wrong. Before we give you credit assistance, you'll get your own Credit Guide with the full details, including the lenders we and AFG have used most in the last 12 months.

AFG authorises us to provide credit assistance and shares responsibility for the assistance we give you.
Lenders and loans
We arrange loans through AFG's lender panel. Brokers have to be accredited with a lender before they can apply to it, and we aren't accredited with every lender on the panel. If the loan that suits you is with a lender we're not accredited with, we can refer you to another AFG broker who is.
We compare the options we can access, and we must act in your best interests and make sure any loan we recommend isn't unsuitable for you.
Fees
We don't charge you a fee for arranging your loan. If a fee were ever payable to us or AFG, we'd give you a Credit Quote first. Without a Credit Quote, there's no fee.
Lenders may charge application, valuation or other fees, even if your loan ends up not going ahead.
How we're paid
Lenders pay commission to AFG when your loan settles, and AFG passes all or part of it to us. Commission is a percentage of the loan amount drawn down, usually after any money in an offset account, and it varies between lenders and products. You don't pay it. Ask us for a reasonable estimate of the commission on your loan and how it's worked out, and your Credit Proposal Disclosure document will set it out.
Referrals and other benefits
- Referrals to us. If someone referred you, such as an accountant or real estate agent, we may pay them a fee. Your Credit Proposal Disclosure document will show it, and you can ask for an estimate.
- Referrals from us. If we introduce you to another service, such as an insurer or a lawyer, we or AFG may be paid for it. We'll tell you before you decide, and your Credit Proposal Disclosure document will show it.
- Tiered servicing. Some lenders give brokers faster processing or more support. It doesn't change what we're paid, and we'll tell you if it applies to a lender we recommend.
- Gifts. We can't accept gifts or benefits worth more than $300. Smaller ones over $100 are recorded in our gifts register, which you can ask to see.
- AFG Home Loans. AFG Home Loans and AFG Securities are owned by AFG, which may earn more when one of their loans settles. The loan documents will show it.
